Prestige Insurance and Abbey Autoline - New Brand Reveal

  • When Prestige Insurance Holdings recently acquired Autoline and combined the company with Abbey Insurance - they held a gala evening at Titanic Belfast to celebrate the unification and to reveal the new business name and new brand of AbbeyAutoline. We were asked to provide some interactive brand engagement and to entertain guests. We developed a bespoke fun experience, whereby we gathered in a collection of photos throughout the evening. We used fully branded interactive touchscreens and a combination of roamer booths. We also provided a large screen onto which guests were able to instantly upload photos from their own mobile phones. All of the photos were sent to our photo mosaic software. While engaging in some selfie fun throughout the evening, guests received their branded prints to take home, and at the same time received a sticker version of their photos which they stuck on the mosaic wall. Throughout the evening the large mosaic slowly revealed the image of the new brand. Up close guests had fun finding their individual photos, and felt that they truly were - “all in this together”.

Regatta and The Alesha Dixon Edit

  • Leading national retailer Regatta Great Outdoors, commissioned Flip Events to curate an exciting brand activation at their stores throughout the island of Ireland - to launch the amazing edit by Alesha Dixon - we worked closely with the Regatta team to understand their requirements. We ensured maximum brand exposure at the appointed shopping centres in all of the major cities throughout Ireland - by attracting shoppers to our fully branded interactive booths and gratifying them with not only branded photo prints, we also encouraged customers to create fun animated branded gifs and videos - the kind of fun media that everyone loves to share! We ensured that the Regatta and Alesha Edit brand was alighting social media platforms all over Ireland. Fully GDPR compliant, our booths collected information from customers, while at the same time directing them to chosen Regatta marketing material. It’s a WIN WIN for both the gratified customer and the retailer!

Queen’s University Belfast - Graduations

  • We just love being part of summer and winter graduations at Queen’s. In the summer time we set up a huge summer flower wall under the cloisters outside close to the lawn (and the strawberries and cream!) - which is sure to encourage everyone to come on over and interact, and in winter time its a winter themed floral wall inside. Lots of smiles and families and happy graduates loving their complimentary instant portrait prints - what a beautiful instant memory of their big day! Graduates are encouraged to use the hashtags in line with the university’s projects and post accordingly. We set up fun animated and branded gifs as well - instantly sharable to social media. Our interactive booths are fully compliant with GDPR. leading the graduates to information and links that the university wishes to share with them. At the end of each day we send a full data analysis report to the university, giving them all the information they have asked us to supply.

Community Lockdown Fun

  • With covid restrictions all around us in Christmas 2020, and the usual seasonal fun events and Santa visits all cancelled = we decided to organise our “Jolly Drive Thru” event. First we had THE CAR BOOTH. Family groups not only came themselves in festive dress but also dressed up their vehicles and there were prizes for the best dressed group entry! - first job of the day was to park/pose at the car booth and collect their printout, together with their treasure hunt booklet. THE HUNT. We organised a treasure hunt around the local community - at each stop we posted a QR code so that everyone could easily access short videos along the way telling the story of how the Grinch was about and was trying to steal our Christmas - and giving clues to lead them through the hunt and back to the starting point. THE MAGIC BOOTH. As part of the hunt, families took photos along the way which they uploaded instantly through their mobile phones via our “magic booth” - Flip our selfie elf was collecting smiles, to spread Christmas cheer of course! When they arrived back to base they were amazed and delighted to pick up the prints of all the photos that they magically sent along the way! SANTA BOOTH . With the magic clues all solved, kids were treated to a selection box, a photo and printout with our virtual Santa at the outdoor mobile greenscreen photobooth - and a socially distanced conversation with the man himself. Great fun had by all! Using a combination of selfie wifi / virtual booth; greenscreen; and a themed touchscreen mobile photobooth, we created a flippin’ great fun photo seasonal experience - all of the proceeds went to our chosen Christmas charities IHCPT and MacMillan Cancer Care.

University of Ulster - Open Days

  • We love to bring something different to the various open days which take place at campuses in Derry, Belfast, Coleraine and Jordanstown. Using a showstopper booth such as our giant smartphone which instantly attracts the young visitors into our fun photo experiences, we create something that is fun, immersive and memorable for the young people - yet also extremely useful for the University whom we work closely with to determine their needs and objectives. e.g. most recently one of the activities at our photo stations was for the visitors to think about what courses / careers they would most like to follow - we supplied and displayed props for all kinds of occupations, we preset 20+ digital backgrounds to match, and using greenscreen the pupils had fun dressing up/using the props and posing in their virtual career world. They are delighted to receive their complimentary prints - and after leaving the fun photo station, are directed to where they can find further information on their particular courses. We also ran competitions with prizes for those who best matched their dressup/props to their career background. It was a lot of fun!
